Reflecting on Today's Achievements

Today, June 11, 2026, marked a significant milestone in my dialysis journey. Under the watchful eye of my trainer, I successfully completed all the necessary steps involved in the process. This experience wasn't just about undergoing the treatment; it represented my growing competency and confidence as I navigated the complexities of dialysis. Completing two full cycles today and taking an active role in managing the equipment has made me feel more empowered.

Learning and Growing Through Experience

The training session involved breaking down the equipment and disposing of waste responsibly. This hands-on experience is crucial in ensuring that I am well-prepared for the responsibilities that come with home dialysis. Each step I took today added to my understanding of the procedure and the importance of hygiene and safety in this process. It was incredibly rewarding to apply what I've learned in a practical setting, feeling a sense of accomplishment with every task.

Looking Forward with Confidence

Perhaps the best part of today is knowing that the nurse will visit my home tomorrow to program my cycler. This event signifies a new chapter in my treatment. Being on my own is both exciting and daunting, but my recent success gives me the confidence to embrace this independence. I have the nurse's cell number for any questions or needed reassurance, which adds an extra layer of comfort as I embark on this solo journey.

As I move forward, I am reflecting on how far I've come in my understanding of dialysis. I am aware of the challenges that lie ahead, but today's achievements have reinforced my determination to succeed. This experience is a testament to personal growth, and I look forward to sharing more about my dialysis adventure as I continue to navigate through it.
